Why choose the word topics for describing: writing, advocating, designing, photographing, traveling and consulting?
Laura flows in and out of these different areas of passions and expertise. She is not only fluid in each of these while helping others, but she also loves to encourage her clients/audience to think bigger. When it comes to design she often tells clients, it's her job to pull out of them what they like and hope for and make it bigger.
Being of artistic bent, Laura trained at Harrington College of Design in Chicago, Illinois. It is there that her continual ever growing pursuit of design really began. Over the years she has taken on jobs in multiple genres of design which has helped broaden and hone her skills in not only interior design, but also graphic design, website design and photography. An extra skill she possesses is the knowledge of marketing and branding. She has been able to use these skills to help consult others in their businesses, and to help launch others in their blogs, podcasts and commercials.
Since traveling abroad to Europe at the age of 17, she hasn't stopped exploring new places far and near. Going to school and working in downtown Chicago for years- she naturally loves getting around big cities such as New York, Philly, DC, Miami, Las Vegas, San Francisco etc. She also loves spending time in quaint cities such as Williamsburg, VA; St. Joseph, MI; Princeton, NJ; and the lists go on and on. Currently residing in Virginia Beach, Laura has always loved to encourage others to do the same in exploring even if it's within their own city.
Going through two chronic debilitating diseases for 11 years, being in and out of hospitals and going through multiple doctors and surgeries- Laura now advocates passionately and bridges the gap for those going through the same diseases as she did. Coming from a place of understanding on how chronic diseases can affect all aspects of life; not just including others health, but also their mental well being, finances, family life and relationships in general- she is also passionate about helping those going through any chronic disease.
Laura lives her life through the multi facet lens of design all the while helping others, encouraging others, building others knowledge and bridging gaps within the health world. The topics her life flow in and out of from day to day seem so natural for her in living her life as passionately as she can.
